Course Syllabi
English II:
This course is designed to provide instruction in the areas of reading, writing, and analyzing American and world literature. On a regular basis students will work toward developing writing skills and using proper grammar. Students will also expand their vocabulary through regular reading and vocabulary reviews and activities. A major research project will also be included.
Yearbook:
The yearbook class is designed to provide the student with the necessary skills to produce the GHS yearbook. Journalism skills covered in the course include teamwork and responsibility, theme and content development, photography and coverage of events, production, reporting, headline and caption development, editing, graphics, advertising and ad sales, and yearbook sales and distribution.
Class Rules and Expectations
-Be punctual (be in assigned seat by bell time)
-Be prepared (have pen, paper, book, and course folder available)
-Be respectful (to teacher and each other)
-No cell phones, I-pods, or other electronic devices
-Bottled water only in classroom
-Work the entire class period (stay in assigned seat until bell rings)
