    Chalmers will resume office hours on August 1 for new student registration. Documents Needed for Enrollment Child’s Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Immunization Records Proof of Residency: water bill, cable bill, electric bill, phone bill, lease (MUST include the parent’s name and physical address) Parent's Photo I.D.: Drivers License, State I.D., Passport, Military I.D.

  • Young Poets

    Ms. Ashley Essary, 4th grade writing teacher, submitted student poetry pieces to the National School Project. The poems of fourth grade students De’Marcus Dunn and Sydney McFarlane were selected for publication in the 2017 edition of the Young American Poetry Digest

  • GISD Earns Six Campus Distinctions

    Gainesville ISD earned six individual campus academic distinctions in the 2017 Accountability ratings. School districts and their campuses are evaluated on four criteria: student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary reading level.

  • United Way Jeans Day

    Last year we beat our pacesetter record with a collection of $15,001.00 and we hope to come close to matching that amount this year, but we need your help. On Friday, August 25, and Friday, September 1, all students and staff can wear jeans and a spirit shirt with a $1 donation.

  • Principal Pinning Ceremony

    The GISD Principals were surprised with a Principal Pinning ceremony on Friday, August 4. One special student from each campus was invited to attend the ceremony and in their Principal with a "Children First" pin. The pin symbolizes the Principals' ongoing commitment and relentless pursuit to always do what is best for kids. The student representatives chosen to recognize their Principals were Carson Skaggs (Edison), Johany Marin (Lee), Madison Patrick (Chalmers), Desmond Pouncil (GJHS) and Asael Lago (GHS).
