Everyone is welcome to come to this overview presentation.  For the 2017-2018 school year, GISD will begin implementation of a two-way dual language program.  This will begin with Pre-K and Kindergarten students and will grow with the students each year.  

An example of growth:

2017-2018: Pre-K and Kinder

2018-2019:  Pre-K, Kinder, First 

2019-2020:  Pre-K, Kinder, First, Second

and so on.

Students in the two-way dual language program will learn both English and Spanish.  Reading is taught in native language, Math in English, and Social studies and science will be learned in both.  This is an exciting opportunity for our students at GISD and we hope you will be a part of it!
