Saturday, February 25, 2017 was a day of fun and learning for 7th grade students at GJHS. Teacher Consultants from National Writing Project and GJHS 7th grade teachers all participated together to bring a “Day at Camp” for students to build their understanding and application of writing fluency, thinking and reading. Students were heard saying that this camp made writing easier because they realized they could write about what they know about and add in more detail. One teacher thanked a student because the student had made her think about her own writing. At the end of the day, students enjoyed pizza and sharing reflective thoughts about what they want to do next time they write.
