My name is Mrs. Melissa Knight and I am in my 5th year of Teaching with Gainesville ISD.  This is my 17th year of Teaching and I am excited to continue this journey in Art (a passion of mine).  I grew up in Galveston, Texas!  I graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette, Missouri. 

I currently live in Sadler, Texas (east of Gainesville). I share my house with my husband of 16 years, Chris, and our "furbaby", Charlie.  We have two pigs and their names are, Biscuit and Oliver!  We have lots of nephews and nieces whom we love & enjoy.  We enjoy creating art, swimming, camping, cooking, gardening, and fishing! 

Students in Art will create art with multiple mediums (materials) using different Artists as inspiration! 

My students are expected to put in 100% effort with each project they create!  I hope that each student will gain knowledge, understanding, and even an appreciation for Art and its many designs.
