    Your child must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2024.

    Below is a list of documents ​required​ for your application to be accepted:

    CHILD’S:

    1. Birth Certificate
    2. Social Security Card
    3. Medicaid or Private Insurance card 4. Shot Record-must be up-to-date

    PARENT’S​:

    1. Picture I.D.
    2. Proof of Residency
        GISD Head Start serves students who live in the GISD school district. Please provide proof of GISD residency.
    3. Proof of Income: last year's Income Tax Return
    If no tax return, other Acceptable documents are:

    • Child Support statement
    • SSI statement/TANF statement or 2-3 ​recent paycheck stubs, SNAP benefits
    • Unemployment statement
    • Student loan information

    Head Start is an income-based Federal Program. Please bring proof of both parents' income.

    ●​Prueba de ingresos: declaración de ingreso de 2023
    Si no hay declaración de ingreso, otros documentos aceptables son:

    ○ ​manutencion del nin@ (resultado de divorcio) ○ ​Declaración de SSI/Declaración de TANF
    ○ ​2-3 copias de sueldo reciente
    ○ ​prueba de desempleo

    ○ ​Prestamos educacionales/donaciones
