Head Start, Pre-K and Kinder Registration Round-Up

Parents who wish to enroll their child for Head Start, Pre-K or Kindergarten in the Fall are encouraged to complete online registration prior to attending round-up.  https://www.gainesvilleisd.org/Page/7574

Parents of students who will be 4 or 5 years of age before September 1, 2022 are encouraged to register as soon as possible.  All 4-year-old students entering Pre-K must meet eligibility requirements as required by Texas law. For detailed information on Pre-K eligibility, visit our district website.

Edison staff will be available to answer any enrollment eligibility questions, assist with online registration, and to accept enrollment documentation.   To expedite registration, families of Kindergarten students are encouraged to complete the online registration prior to the round-up, and to bring supporting documentation to complete the student’s registration. Computers will also be available for online registration if the process is not able to be completed prior to the event. If the family currently has a student in the district, please add a new student to the existing parent portal account.  If a parent portal account does not yet exist, go to gainesvilleisd.org/registration and create a new account.

Documentation requirements include:  parent identification, child’s social security card, birth certificate, proof of residency, immunization record, and proof of income (to determine Pre-K eligibility).

Head Start is also accepting applications for qualifying 3- and 4-year-old students. To make a registration appointment or for qualification questions, please email April Waggoner at awaggoner@gainesvilleisd.org.

Register online and visit us at one of our round-up dates to bring in documentation and ask any questions you may have. Round-up will be held on April 26 from 8am-7pm, April 30 from 8am-12pm. We can't wait to welcome our newest little Leopards!
