The GISD Education Foundation has been celebrating the achievements of the Top 10% of GHS graduating seniors for 15 years. Each of these students picks one educator who has made an impact in their lives and honors them as their distinguished educator.  The student and teacher are honored at the annual Shining Stars gala.  However, given the current situation and social distancing requirements, the Foundation was not able to host the gala. In order to continue the tradition, each student and educator were able to honor each other virtually.
