Bienvenidos a mi salon de Primer Grado!

Welcome to Mrs. Avila's First Grade Classroom 

I am excited too be a part of the Edison Team!  I have been in education for over 15 years.  I have taught in the classroom to 3rd and 4th grade students in bilingual education.  From here I expanded my educator's career to include a master Guidance and Counseling. I have enjoyed my journey in education, my long road traveled.  My passion as an educator has brought me too a new journey at GISD Edison Elementary as a 1st grade dual language teacher.  I will be first grade One way Spanish Classroom teacher.

After the birth of my grandson Alexander Emilio in 2019  (currently 2 years old :) , my passion for being in the classroom began to reignite and here I am today about to begin an adventurous school year.  My hope is to give each of my students the best education possible in becoming successful bilingual students in speaking, reading and writing in spanish and english language.  I am blessed to have three children and a step-son(now young adults) Genesis, Christian, Caleb and my step-son Eliseo.  My husband Fernando is my strong support, above all I am grateful to God for this incredble opportunity to be your child's teacher.

Mi nombre es maestra Yesenia Avila y estoy super emcionada de ser parte del equipo de la escuela Edison.  Tengo 15 anos de experencia como educadora. Los grados como maestra bilingue que ensene son los de tercer y cuarto grados.  Sigue con mi carerra de educadora en el area de consejera de high school.  Mi carerra de educadora me ha traido a GISD Edison Elementary como maestra de dual language, Primer Grado. Mi esperanza y meta como maestra es que mis estudiantes sean exitoso en el programa de dual language one way en leer, escribir y hablar exitosamente en su primer idioma y segundo idioma ingles. 

Soy muy bendecida con la familia que Dios ,e ha regalado.  Tengo un nietesito su nombre es Alexander Emilio(2 anos).  Mis hijos son Caleb Christian y mi hijastro Eliseo.  Mi esposo Fernando es mi fuerte apoyo en mi carrera y mas importante estoy ,u agradecida con Dios por la oportunidad de ser la maestra de su hija/hija :)
