About GISD
Gainesville ISD is a 4A Division II school which serves approximately 3,100 students and is comprised of six campuses. GISD prides itself in its family-friendly schools, positive and inclusive community culture, and wide range of college and career-ready programs.
Gainesville High School boasts an overwhelming number of dual credit opportunities, both academic and technical, for students beginning in 9th grade due to the tremendous partnership with North Central Texas College.
Gainesville, Texas is home to 18,100 residents and is the county seat in Cooke County, which is in north central Texas along the Oklahoma border.
