Inclement Weather Procedure

INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURES
In the event inclement weather causes any changes to our regular school day (late start, early dismissal, closure) an announcement will be released from the office of the Superintendent to the following radio and television stations:  KGAF 92.3 FM, KGAF 1580 AM, KXII 12 News, KTEN, WFAA 8, FOX 4, NBC 5.

Any weather changes will also be posted to our GISD facebook page as well as our instagram page. These are public accounts and are viewable without having a personal account.

Notification will also be sent to all GISD parents and faculty through our mass communication system (SchoolStatus).  Parents will receive a text, phone call, and an email to the contact information provided in Ascender Parent Portal during registration. If contact information has changed, please update in Parent Portal.
