Facilities Planning Committee

Gainesville ISD determined that the establishment of a Facility Planning Committee would provide the best means of developing a facilities master plan. This committee will help with the planning and preparing for the future.

We have a dedicated website that will house all Facilities Planning Committee meeting information, including presentations and all information shared with the group. All meetings are open to the public.

How do I participate?

GISD in the process of forming a Facilities Planning Committee, consisting of community stakeholders, to assess the facilities within GISD. The purpose of the committee is to gain community input while we study our campus building utilization, student enrollment projections, facility conditions, campus safety and security, equity among school facilities, grade alignment structure, and to consider financial data.

The goal of the committee is to obtain different perspectives from the entire community and have a committee that represents the interests of all students. GISD will be calling a bond election for the May 2025 election, and we value the input of our community in the process.
