PCAT Driver of the Year

Murrah Named PCAT Regional Bus Driver of the Year

Jennifer Murrah, GISD bus driver, was recently honored by PCAT (Property Casualty Alliance of Texas) as the 2020-2021 PCAT Bus Driver of the Year for Gainesville ISD. The award is based upon multiple driver attributes: Leadership, Attitude, Perseverance, Student and Parent Relationships, and Technical Skill. Jennifer was nominated by fellow bus driver, David Dietz, who has been a driver for GISD for more than 30 years.

In addition, Jennifer was also named as a PCAT Regional Bus Driver of the Year. This designation represents an even higher level of dedication and accomplishment. The applications from all districts are evaluated looking for drivers who demonstrate a consistent desire to positively influence both students and co-workers through their actions and attitudes, not just words.

As an award, PCAT presented Jennifer with a personalized jacket, a check for $100, in addition to the tokens of appreciation for being named the District Driver of the Year. Jennifer has been a driver for GISD since 2012. Congratulations Jennifer!
