Miss Cubias
Hello! I am Miss Cubias and I am a third grade dual language teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in Indiciplinary Studies EC-6 with a certificate of Bilingual Education. I studied and graduated from the College of Education at the University of North Texas. This is my fifth year teaching as a certified teacher. Prior to this, I taught 2nd grade dual language for 4 years. I also taught 3rd grade dual language and 5th grade math as a student teacher. Right now, I am teaching under the Gomes by Gomes dual language program in 3rd grade. I am very passionate about my job and I encourage my students to become biliterate and bicultural in their educational career.
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I love hedgehogs and I have one as a classroom pet. I enjoy music, dance, and art, which I incorporate it into learning.
On a different note, I am also the director of the Electric Red Dance and Drill Team at Gainesville High School!! I have choreographed and directed the team since January of 2022.
¡Hola! Soy Stra. Cubias y soy maestra bilingüe de tercer grado. Tengo una licenciatura en Estudios Indiciplinarios EC-6 con certificado de Educación Bilingüe. Estudié y me gradué de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad del Norte de Texas. Este es mi quinto año enseñando como maestro certificado. Antes de esto, enseñé lenguaje dual de segundo grado durante 4 años. También enseñé lenguaje dual de tercer grado y matemáticas de quinto grado como estudiante de magisterio. En este momento, estoy enseñando bajo el programa de lenguaje dual Gomes by Gomes en 3er grado. Me apasiona mucho mi trabajo y animo a mis alumnos a ser bilingües y biculturales en su carrera educativa.
Nací y crecí en Dallas, Texas. Me encantan los erizos y tengo uno como mascota en el salón de clases. Disfruto de la música, la danza y el arte, en lo cual lo incorporo al aprendizaje.
En una nota diferente, ¡también soy la directora del Equipo de Danza Electric Red en la Escuela Secundaria de Gainesville! He coreografiado y dirigido al equipo desde enero de 2022.
