Hello, my name is Coach Perkins, and I am a coach and 7th grade history teacher here at GJHS. I grew up in Aubrey, Tx and attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in education. I reside in Whitesboro with my wife of three years, Emma, and our newborn, whom both mean the world to me.

This is my first year at Gainesville ISD, and my first year teaching. I completed my clinical teaching at City View Junior High, and I spent many years as a substitute teacher and childcare worker prior to that. I am certified to teach grades 4-8 in social studies subjects. 

I have a great love for history and a great love for teaching. Outside of school and family, my interests include basketball, genealogy tracing, maps, antiquing, and writing.
