¡Bienvenidos! Welcome! My name is Elena Hernandez and I am so excited to be teaching Spanish this year.  This will be my 18th year with Gainesville ISD.  I have taught 7th and 8th grade math at GJHS and 3rd and 4th grade at Chalmers Elementary.  I grew up in Gainesville and am a proud Gainesville High School graduate.  I have a daughter who just graduated from UNT and a son who will be a freshman in high school. I received my college degree from the University of North Texas in Denton.  I am looking forward to a great year of learning!
