Schedule of Regular Board Meetings
The Gainesville ISD Board of Trustees holds a regular meeting on the third Monday of each month. If the third Monday falls on a holiday or conflicts with the school calendar in any way, an alternative Monday is selected. Below is the 2019-2020 schedule of Regular Meetings. Special-called meetings are held as needed throughout the year. All meetings are open to the public.

Meet the Board
Corey Hardin, President
Place 7, Election 2022
2nd Term, 2013-present
Corey Hardin was raised in Gainesville and went through all levels of GISD. Father of one son, Cailin Hardin, who graduated GHS in 2016. He has 2 brothers Charles and Donald Hardin, who were also educated in GISD. He served his country by virtue of the United States Army from 1997-2001. Corey graduated from NCTC's nursing program in 2006 and is currently working as a personal trainer, operating primarily out if Bosco's Gym in Gainesville. He also holds a seat on the Board of Directors for CASA. Corey is a member of Whaley United Methodist Church. "My mission in life is fitness and I hope to be a contributing member of this team of 8 to continue the progress and momentum that is back in the GISD."
Phil Neelley, Vice President

Phil grew up in Andrews, Texas where he graduated from Andrews High School in 1992. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1996 with a BS in Industrial Distribution. Phil serves on the City of Gainesville Planning & Zoning Commission and has served on the Gainesville City Council in the past. Phil is the President of Trident Process Systems in Gainesville. He is married to Amanda and they have three children.Marvin Royal, Secretary

Marvin is a 1992 graduate of GHS and is currently the Chief Operating Officer at the Boys & Girls Club. In his time at GHS, Marvin was active in football, basketball, and baseball. Marvin attended Navarro JC, NCTC (Cooke County College) where he played baseball. Marvin is also a member of Gainesville Kiwanis, an Abigail Arms /CAC Board member , SWAC basketball official, member of the Great Southwest Officials Association - Basketball Officiating, member of the North Texas Basketball Officials Association- High School, and has represented NTBOA as an official at the Texas High School Boys State Championships for 6 years. Marvin and his wife Keli, a GISD teacher, have 2 daughters: Makenli and Malia, who attend Chalmers and Edison Elementary.Mike Rosenberg

Mike attended GISD for 12 years before graduating GHS in 1967. He has been married to his wife Dot for 41 years. Mike has 2 adult children, Patrick and Sarah. He is a retired Educator.Will Presson

Will was born in Wichita Falls where he is a 1981 graduate of S.H. Rider High School and attended Midwestern State University. He moved to Gainesville in 1996 and was the Chief Appraiser of Cooke County Appraisal District. Mr. Presson has been the managing partner of Merit Advisors since 2002. He has been married to his wife Jennifer for 9 years, they have three children all graduates of GISD, Peyton 2009, Lauren 2009 and Cason 2011. He is an active member of First Baptist Church and has served as a Deacon since 2003. Will has served on numerous boards and committees and is very active in the Gainesville community.

Brad Cox is a fifth generation Gainesville native and graduated from GISD in 2002. Brad graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Agricultural Leadership Development, minor in Business Administration in 2006. Brad has two sons who currently attend GISD, Solomon and Atlas. Brad works for Sharp Oilfield Services in Gainesville. He also volunteers as a CASA advocate and currently serves on the boards of the Young Professionals of Cooke County (YPCC) and Summer Sounds.

Nathan grew up in Ennis, TX where he graduated from St. John Catholic School. He and his wife Nicole have three sons; Harrison, Jeffrey and Reed. Nathan serves on the Gainesville Planning and Zoning Commission. He is the Director of Sales for Site Safe in Gainesville. He started the GHS Bass Fishing team in 2016 and serves as Vice President of the GHS Booster Club.
