I grew up in the Texas Panhandle and moved to Gainesville in 2014 with my husband and two younger children. My youngest son, Nathaniel, graduated Gainesville High in 2016. He is in the Marine Reserves and a State Farm insurance agent. My only daughter, Katrina, graduated Gainesville as Salutatorian in 2018. She is in the Army Reserves and attending UNT majoring in Biology. I have been blessed with a total of 5 children and 10 grandchildren, who live in Texas and Missouri.
I have a Bachelor's in Business Administration from West Texas A&M University and a Master's in Special Education as an Instructinal Specialist from Arkansas State University. Since beginning my teaching career in 2003, I have taught secondary and college business classes, ESL, and the last six years in Special Education.
Four of my six years at Gainesville Jr. High, I taught students in the Special Education (skills for life) classroom. This year I have returned to the inclusion Math and ELAR classrooms along with teaching Math Intervention. I look forward to a wonderful Covid Special school year and getting to help students grow.
