Gainesville ISD has scheduled the first substitute orientation date for the year.  All subs, both new and returning, are required to attend orientation prior to being approved for employment for the 2026-2027 school year.

Orientation will take place on Monday, August 3, from 9 - 10am at the GISD Administration Building located at 900 N. Grand Avenue. 

All new substitutes must complete an online employment application prior to the training. To apply online and for additional information on being a substitute, please click here. Please bring a current driver’s license, social security card and official high school and/or college transcripts to orientation.
