GISD Substitute Orientation Dates
Gainesville ISD has scheduled the substitute orientation dates for the Fall. All subs, both new and returning, are required to attend orientation prior to being approved for employment for the 2024-25 school year.
There are multiple options available, but subs only have to attend one training. Options are 9:00- 10:00 am OR 2:00 - 3:00 pm on July 25, August 13, or August 28. Additional dates are: September 4, September 18, October 16, or November 14. Trainings will take place at 2pm on December 11, January 15, and February 19.
All new substitutes must complete an online employment application prior to the training. To apply online and for additional information on being a substitute, please click here. Please bring a current driver’s license, social security card and official high school and/or college transcripts to orientation.
Orientation will take place at the GISD Administration Building located at 800 S. Morris Street. For any questions, please contact Human Resources at 940-665-4362.
