Substitute Orientation Dates
Gainesville ISD has scheduled the substitute orientation dates for the year. All subs, both new and returning, are required to attend orientation prior to being approved for employment for the 2025-2026 school year.
There are multiple options available, but subs only have to attend one training. Orientation will take place from 9 - 10am at the GISD Administration Building located at 900 N. Grand Avenue. Options for the single session required training are July 21, July 28, August 18, September 17, October 22, November 12, December 10, January 14, and February 12.
All new substitutes must complete an online employment application prior to the training. To apply online and for additional information on being a substitute, please click here. Please bring a current driver’s license, social security card and official high school and/or college transcripts to orientation.
