Kinder, Pre-K, and Head Start Registration Roundup
Gainesville ISD will be hosting a 2025-2026 registration round up for all new GISD students entering Head Start, Pre-K, or Kindergarten in the Fall. There are three opportunities to complete early registration. Edison Elementary, located at 1 Edison Drive, will be open for registration on Monday, April 7 (8am-5pm), Wednesday, April 30 (8am-5pm), and Monday, May 5 (8am-7pm).
Parents of students who will be 3, 4 or 5 years of age before September 1, 2025 are encouraged to attend. Kindergarten is open to any student who will be 5 years of age on September 1, 2025. Pre-K and Head Start students must qualify for the program. Pre-K is open to qualifying students who are 4 years of age on September 1, 2025 and Head Start is open to qualifying 3- and 4-year-old students. Qualifying factors vary for each program, so parents are encouraged to attend to determine if their student meets eligibility requirements.
During the round-up event, office staff will be available to answer any enrollment eligibility questions, assist with online registration, and to accept enrollment documentation. Documentation requirements include: parent identification, child’s social security card, birth certificate, proof of residency, immunization record, and proof of income (Pre-K/Head Start only).
