We are excited to announce the debut of the annual Gainesville ISD Science Fair! Conducting Science experiments is a way of asking questions about the world around us. It gives you the opportunity to practice your math skills when you collect data, your writing and critical thinking skills when you put your ideas on paper and your reading skills as you conduct background research on your topic. This is your chance to apply, in real world terms, what you learn in school. Register online by clicking here before April 5.
This information packet contains Science project information that will help you conduct your experiment and understand the scientific process. Use the timeline inside in order to pace yourself. This project is meant as an opportunity for you to showcase your interest in science through other interests you may have. All entries are due by April 30. An example of the scoring rubric can be found here.
Finally, we are excited to announce that Gainesville ISD’s Science Showcase Night will take place on May 2, 2019 at 6 pm. This is a night to see the projects displayed by our scientific students. Our brightest scientific minds are right here in Gainesville, Texas. We are proud of you and look forward to your project!
