Summer Meal Service Updates Starting July 1 - 31, 2020

Serving Sites Information

    • On Thursday you may pick up meals for your children for the weekend

Gainesville ISD will provide free grab-and-go meals for children through July 31st, 2020, Monday-Thursday only, beginning July 1 and ending on July 31st, 2020. Any Child 18 and under has the option to receive 2 meals daily (breakfast & lunch). Children do not have to be students at the campus to receive free meals or enrolled in GISD schools. Families will not be allowed to congregate or come inside the buildings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Expiration Dates:

  • Sandwiches should be consumed within 3 days of delivery.
  • All other items should be refrigerated and served within 7 days or discarded.

 Meal Patterns:

  • All breakfast meals include one entrée, one fruit or juice, and a milk.
  • All lunch and dinner meals include one entrée, one fruit, one vegetable and a milk.

Heating Instructions:  Corndogs, Chicken Patties, Popcorn Chicken, Chicken Nuggets, Pizza, and Other Entrée items that require heating (serving size: 1 entrée)

  • Preheat oven or toaster oven to 400 F.
  • Remove entrée from packaging.
  • Line cookie sheet with foil or spray with nonstick spray.
  • Place entree on cookie sheet.
  • Bake until internal temperature reaches 160 F, or approximately 5-10 minutes.
