Facilities Renaming Process

The potential renaming of buildings has been a topic of discussion within our district in the recent months. As a result, a formal process was evaluated and finalized in the efforts to create an official policy for the naming and/or renaming of district facilities. At the September Board meeting, it was agreed upon by the Board that rather than form a committee for this process, it would be in the best interest of the community for the district to solicit potential name changes for any buildings, specifically Robert E. Lee Intermediate, and present to the Board.

The official renaming request form must be completed by persons proposing names for new or existing facilities or distinct portions of facilities.

The form should be submitted prior to October 16, 2020. All proposals will be presented to the Board of Trustees at the October 19, 2020 Board meeting. Nominations will only be accepted with a completed nomination form.
