Mr. Josh Kelly has been named the Gainesville Junior High Principal for the 2022-2023 school year.  Kelly came to GISD last year and has served as the Assistant Principal at GJH.  Kelly worked under Principal Krista Beal, who has accepted a position as the Principal of Van Alstyne High School.

Kelly has a total of 12 years of experience in education. Throughout those years, he had the opportunity to serve in the roles of substitute teacher, paraprofessional, teacher, and coach before entering into an administration role. Josh and his wife Heather are longtime residents of Denison.

“I am beyond excited to be able to lead Gainesville Junior High in the future,” Kelly said.  “People dream of working in a district like GISD.  GISD and GJHS are a family!  I am truly blessed to be a part of the GISD family and be able to lead the future citizens of this community.”
