Quinton Jones Named Elementary Assistant Principal

Quinton Jones has been hired as an Assistant Principal and will split his time between Edison and Chalmers Elementary.  This additional administrator position was created last year to fill the needs that come with the growing student enrollment at these two campuses.  Dana Dudenhoeffer is the AP at Edison and Amy Allen is the AP at Chalmers.

Mr. Jones comes to GISD with 13 years of experience in education, teaching a variety of subjects including Criminal Justice, Health, Physical Education, and Special Education. In addition to teaching, he has coached football, powerlifting, and track.  He has a Criminal Justice degree from Hardin-Simmons University, a Master of Education in Sports Administration from Concordia University, and obtained his Principal certification through Lamar University.

Quinton is married to Haley, a 2002 graduate of Gainesville ISD, and she will be teaching 6th grade math at Gainesville Intermediate. Their 9-year-old daughter, Quinn, will be in 4th grade at Chalmers.
