Academic UIL District Meet Results

GHS UIL speech and debate team


The GHS Acadmic UIL team finished 4th in District meet, which was held on April 26. All events were completed virtually.  The Speech & Debate team (pictured above) was able to compete in person together, but still virtually. 

The Journalism team placed 1st and the Speech team placed 3rd.  Overall, we were the 4th placed team out of 7. 

The Regional qualifiers will compete in Lindale April 14-17.  At this time, our OAP will perform on April 14-15. Our speech and debate students will perform on April 16, and the academic contests will be on April 17.
