GISD Announces New Principal of Gainesville High School
GISD is proud to announce the new Principal of Gainesville High School, Mr. David Glancy. Glancy has been an administrator at GISD for the past 11 years. During his time at GISD, he has served as an Assistant Principal at GHS, Assistant Principal at GMS, Principal at GHS, Director of Secondary Curriculum, and for the past 2 1/2 years has been the campus leader as Principal at GJH.
"I am excited to be back at Gainesville High School and given my time at both GJH and GHS, I have already been able to work with everyone except the senior class," Glancy said. "I look forward to getting to know that group and continuing to build the Leopard Pride with all of the GHS students and staff."
Even though a majority of his time at GISD has been at GHS, Glancy has made a tremendous impact on GJH the past two years. "I work with a great team at the junior high, from the leadership team, teachers, and students. We are all a team."
Prior to becoming an administrator at GISD, Glancy was a Spanish teacher at Cedar Hill HS, Keller HS, and Northwest HS.
Glancy's wife Angie is an Instructional Coach at GISD and their son Ray, will be in 6th grade at Lee Intermediate.
