Gainesville High School not only welcomes a new Principal this coming year, but also two Assistant Principals who will embark upon the leadership team. Kyle Searcy, a proud 2002 graduate of GHS, is the first of these two positions to be named.
Searcy received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Midwestern State University and has accumulated ten years teaching Special Education, nine of those being in Gainesville ISD. Searcy’s journey in education started as a Life Skills teacher’s aide, which led him to become a Special Education teacher.
“I will be forever grateful to the awesome mentors who have motivated and molded me through this educational journey,” Searcy said. “I am excited to make a positive mark on Gainesville High School, the Gainesville community and most importantly the students of GISD.”
Searcy and his wife Aimee, also a Special Education teacher in GISD, reside in Gainesville with their two boys, Gray (5) and Ky (1).
