We are in the process of forming a Facilities Steering Committee (FSC), consisting of community stakeholders, to assess the facilities within GISD. The purpose of the FSC is to gain community input while we study our campus building utilization, student enrollment projections, facility conditions, campus safety and security, equity among school facilities, grade alignment structure, and to consider financial data.
The goal of the FSC is to obtain different perspectives from the entire community and have a committee that represents the interests of all students.

We hope to gather 40-50 community stakeholders who will attend 3-4 meetings and be a part of the continued conversation as we work to ensure the safety and adequacy of our district facilities.
