Read Across Gainesville Carnival March 2

The GISD Librarians are working hard to create a book carnival, which will be held on March 2, which is Dr. Seuss's birthday and Read Across America!  The event will be held from 11am-1pm at the GHS Multi-Purpose Indoor Practice Facility.  Teachers, parents, students and your own little readers are encouraged to attend the FREE community event!

Elementary type carnival games will include several Dr. Seuss Stations (Cat in the Hat Ball Toss, PLINKO, One Fish/Two Fish Fishing Game, Duck Pond and many more). Every winner gets a prize...a book or a bookmark.

For our 12 and older readers, there will be a Teen-Scene. The Teen-Scene will feature Oculus headsets sponsored by Texas Work Force, trivia, Minute to Win It type challenges and games specific to our secondary students' interests. Couple that with comfy spots to chill out, you may never get them out.

Sit on a yard line and hear a story read by GJHS and GHS student leaders, performers and even a teacher or librarian. Go to enough stations and enter for a chance to win big door prizes of...BOOK SETS!
