Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-Up!

Online registration is now open for new GISD Pre-K and Kindergarten students for the 2019-2020 school year.  Families who wish to enroll their child at Gainesville ISD are encouraged to apply online and attend the upcoming Kindergarten Round-Up on Tuesday, June 11, at Edison Elementary (1 Edison Drive).  On this day, the campus offices will offer extended hours (8am-7pm) to assist with online registration questions and to receive enrollment documentation.  Computers will also be available for online registration.

Register online today!

Documentation requirements include: child’s social security card, birth certificate, proof of residency, immunization record, and proof of income*.  To expedite registration, families are encouraged to complete the online registration prior to April 18, and to bring supporting documentation during the round-up to complete the student’s registration.  See below for free Pre-K eligibility guidelines.

GISD is also accepting applications for Pre-K and Kindergarten dual language program.  In the dual language program, students will develop high levels of proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension in both English and Spanish.   Eligible students are those entering Pre-K or Kindergarten who are native English speaking students or Spanish speaking students who are eligible as Limited English Proficient.  More information can be found at www.gainesvilleisd.org/duallanguage

For questions, please call Edison Elementary at 940-665-6091. If you are unable to attend the Round-Up and have questions regarding registration and/or to turn in documentation, please visit Edison during regular business hours from 8am-3pm.
