Meet the Teacher - TBD
All of our students and families are invited to come and meet their new teachers!  Please bring school supplies when you come so our teachers can get them organized and prepare for the first day of school. Supplies are provided for Head Start students.  High School students will receive classroom specific lists from their teachers once school starts.

• Gainesville Intermediate - 6:00 - 7:30pm

7th Grade Leap Camp - TBD
LEAP camp is for all incoming 7th grade students.  Our student ambassadors and Student Council will show the students around the campus and share all that GJH has to offer!  Students can be dropped off at 5pm at the auditorium and picked up at 7pm at the auditorium.  Parents, this one is just for the kids!  You are welcome to join your student for Meet the Teacher on August 4.

9th Grade Fish Camp - TBD
Welcome to Gainesville High School! Our GHS Student Council has a fun event prepared to welcome our incoming freshman.  

Texas House Bill 1481, passed during the 89th Legislative Session, requires all public school districts to implement policies restricting student use of personal communication devices during the school day. This includes devices like cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, and gaming devices.  The primary purpose of the bill is to minimize distractions and create a more conducive learning environment for students.
