  • Speech and Debate Places FIRST

    The GHS Leopard Speech & Debate team competed in the Whitesboro Invitational Speech & Debate Tournament. This was the team's first meet of the season and the majority of the team is new to competition, so this meet was an excellent trial run for the team.   • 2017 Homecoming Court

    Congratulations to the 2017 Gainesville High School Homecoming Court! The King and Queen will be announced at the Homecoming game on Friday, October 13. Kickoff is at 7pm and the crowning will take place at halftime. The community parade will be held on Wednesday, October 11 at 6pm in downtown Gainesville.

  • Careers in Texas Industries Week

    Students at Gainesville High School participated in Careers in Texas Industries Week September 25-29. The Careers in Texas Industries Week is a statewide calendar of career exploration events designed to inform students, parents and educators about career opportunities in Texas’ growing industries. The event is coordinated by the Texas Workforce Commission and was organized locally by TWC, NCTC, GHS Counselor Rachel Strait, and local business partners. Read more...

  • Launching Student Success through Leadership Development

    GISD Superintendent Dr. Jeff Brasher has initiated the formation of a Student Advisory Council. Students from Lee Intermediate, GJHS, and GHS were selected by their Principals to serve on the committee based on their leadership within organizations on their respective campuses. Read more...

  • GISD Announces United Way Donation Total

    Gainesville ISD is one of 12 company pacesetters for the 2018 United Way of Cooke County campaign. Each year, our students and staff work together to donate to the organization that does so much for the kids in our community and our school district. Our campus and district leadership were able to announce this year's grand total of $11,747 in United Way donations!
